I just finished a wedding out at The Duncan House for Jessica and Brett.

Jessica was so great on all the details - she had this design made and used it on the programs (pictured) and menu cards and seating cards and favor boxes and even had stirrers and napkins with the jb on it!

Congrats Jessica and Brett!

KNOT PARTY

My favorite magazine, The Knot, had their vendor appreciation party last night at this cool place in Winter Park called Hannibal's Lounge and it was a blast! The best part was being able to hang out with Tina and some friends in the industry and enjoy an evening full of laughs!

There was a photo booth set up in the back of the lounge and my good friend Tommy of Greenery Productions pulled me in the booth for photos! :)

I LOVE WHAT I DO and LOVE THE VENDORS I WORK WITH! :)

At the end of the night, names were drawn for prizes and I WON!!! I screamed so loud and ran to claim my prize - a 2-night, 3-day trip to Boca Raton resort! With two small kids and no time alone, this was the best Christmas gift I could have gotten!

IT'S A SAD DAY
Today we had to say good-bye to Miss Christy and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done!
She started watching my kids 2 years ago and soon after starting helping me on wedding days as well. She quickly became a part of our family and she was like a daughter to John and I.
My kids absolutely loved her and the best part was Christy loved them about as much as we do! We'd love having her around and will miss her so much!
We will see her again, it just won't be the same having her around the corner!
We wish her all the best as she returns home to her family in Naples (after graduating at UCF) and her boyfriend (who graduates from FIT this weekend as well)! Pretty soon we'll be planning her wedding!
We love you Miss Christy! :)

SANTA VISIT
Two weeks left unil the big day and the kids and I headed with Christy (our favorite sitter) to the Oviedo Mall this afternoon.
David had a list for Santa and it had all the John Deere toys listed that he wants (I keep trying to tell him he is not getting them all!)
Sophia was a little shy at first but got brave quickly when she saw big brother on his lap. She did tell Santa she wants a bike!
It was a fun day for all - now it's nap time for everyone, including mommy!

It is one thing in this crazy industry of weddings to know and work with good quality people - it is another thing to truly enjoy being around them and work with them!

I have just finished my fourth year of business and for the past two years I have advertised with The Knot and could not be happier. Such great brides and just a wonderful publication BUT working with Rhonda Haberkamp has been fabulous! She truly cares about her clients advertising with The Knot and is always striving to help them. She is also the best at keeping me company at networking functions and assisting me in trying all the desserts!

About 4 months ago I started working with Tommy Murphy, Director of Marketing and Sales at Greenery Productions and I don't know whether to be happy or sad. Happy that I have met him and just LOVE working with him and hanging out with him or sad that it took me so darn long to meet him and work with him. (I always tell my brides - Orlando is great because you have so many vendors to choose from, but it sucks too because you have so many vendors to choose from! - It's hard to work with them all and to get to know them all).

Anyway, as I finish out 2007 and look back on this wonderful year that Eventfully Yours has had and how much the business is growing, I am most thrilled with the relationships that I have formed in the industry. I truly enjoy what I do and know that I am doing what God has called me to do - but to be around people who feel the same way and who make me smile when I see them (or hear their voice or read their e-mail) is icing on the cake!

Thanks Rhonda and Tommy for some great memories and I look forward to many, many more!

WINTER WONDERLAND

Stacy and Eddie tied the knot on November 24th and saw their visions become reality as Tommy with Greenery Productions wowed them (and their guests)!

They wanted the winter wonderland look with blue, white and silver and it all looked amazing that night with blue lighting in the centerpieces with gorgeous calla lillies and hydrangeas.

Rinat Halon captured the night and I will soon have photos of this incredible wedding on my website (recent weddings).

Stacy and Eddie are off to Las Vegas and hopefully winning lots of cash!

CHRISTINA & AUSTEN

What a fabulous wedding we did this past Saturday for Christina and Austen at Shingle Creek. They both warned me that it would be a PAR-TAY and they were not lying. That dance floor was packed all night long!

Christina had always talked about having fireworks on her wedding night and so her parents asked me to help surprise her - so I contacted Santore and Sons and they put on a fabulous show and Christina and Austen never knew until the sky lit up! It was awesome!!

Many thanks to my great staff for all their help, with 12 bridesmaids and another wedding starting later that day, I could not have done it without them! And of course when you have rockin' vendors, like Tommy from Greenery Productions and Jen of Fortin Photography and Darrin with Fun Factory DJ along with Perfect Sky Productions (video) - it's a walk in the park!

Happy 5th Birthday David!

I cannot belive my son is 5 years old today - where does the time go! We had a John Deere birthday party and everyone had a blast (but I'm exhausted - especially after two weddings yesterday!)

As you can see from the photo, David gets his silliness from his mommy! :)

FAMILY PHOTO DAY!

You would never know that shortly after taking this photo, I had to take David to the After Hours Pediatric Clinic and we found out he had strep throat, an ear infection and pink eye! That was the start of a yucky week as we all got the pink eye and I was the lucky one to get strep throat!

But we had fun taking our pictures! :)

It was a busy weekend for all of us at Eventfully Yours, with two weddings on Saturday and one assistant being rushed into the hospital for Apendicitis! I actually broke out in hives from the stress - but Christy is recovering and doing well!
This was one of our weddings - Yolanda and Henri, who got married at Cathedral of St. Luke in downtown and had their reception at the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
The wedding was a blast and both bride and groom were so relaxed, it made for such a great day!
My good friend, Jen Fortin (fortinphotography.com) captured this shot during cocktail hour of the newleyweds!

HOT & SEXY!!!

What a fabulous photo of Natasha and Jason! Their e-session was last week with Garrett Nudd!
Natasha and Jason are getting married on April 12 at Isleworth Country Club. I'm looking forward to it and am sure it will be a wonderful day!

Perfection!!! That describes Kimbi and Erik's wedding!

Kimbi and her mom worked so hard in putting together the most special day for all of their 220 guests and they achieved that! It was a rocking night on Saturday as the bride and groom exchange vows at the beautiful Pake Lake Presbyterian and then kicked up their heels at The Ballroom at Church Street. Uptown Music had the crowd on the dance floor all night (especially Kimbi) and I really don't think anyone wanted to go!
Many years of happiness to the new Mr. & Mrs. vonAncken!

Can you say absolutely stunning?! What a beautiful day it was for Megan and Jimmy! They tied the knot on the 20th at Annuciation Catholic Church and then had their reception at The Citrus Club and it was fabulous!
This shot was captured out at Lake Eola by Brian Adams - bapg.net!
It was a joy to be part of this special day and with Jimmy being a former UCF Football player, it was great to see a lot of familiar faces! GO KNIGHTS! :)

CONGRATS MR. & MRS. STORY!!!

Joni and Mike tied the knot on September 29 at Paradise Cove (Lake Buena Vista Water Sports).

The rain did not stop these two love birds from enjoying a fabulous night with family and friends!

Troy Battle Photography captured this shot after the ceremony!

The big day is quickly approaching for Stacy and Eddie! They are getting married on November 24 at The Country Club of Orlando.

Rinat Halon captured this great shot during their engagement session!

It doesn't get any cuter than this! My good friend, Jen Fortin of Fortin Photography took Sophia's 2-year photos and I absolutely love this shot of her!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY!
I can't believe Sophia turned 2 years old today! We had a great day together while John was at work and David was at school but once they got home, it was all about her!
I made her a Mickey Mouse cake and John's mom and sister came over to celebrate with us, along with Sophia's favorite sitter, Christy!
One of my clients were so sweet to get her this cool Playdoh kit and it was a huge hit!

VACATION!

I just returned from Nashville, Tennesse with one of my best girlfriends, Michelle. We went out there for the Deeper Still Women's Conference - Beth Moore was one of the speakers and we have done a few of her Bible Studies and just love her! There were two other speakers that were just as wonderful and it turned out to be a spiritually filled time! Mandessa (American Idol) was there as well to do a few songs - she was just unbelievable!

Of course we did stay three extra days to site see and "play" and I have to tell you, it was so much fun!!!! I didn't have to worry about anyone but me. And as a mother of a 2-year old and almost 5-year old, it was great to just do what I wanted and when I wanted! :) I got to read a book and enjoy a good cup of coffee and sleep in (without being interrupted) and enjoy my dinner .... you get the idea! I love my family but it was sure nice to have some time away!

This is a shot from our last dinner out - we went to Maggiano's and good thing we took the photo before dinner because we were rolling out at the end! That place gives you so much food! There is one in Pointe Orlando so if you have a chance, you should go visit - just be prepared to get stuffed! :)

I was featured in Orlando Magazine this month along with five other people from Orlando that have been on reality TV recently.

I was honored to be included and thought Katherine Johnson did a fabulous job with the article. Clients, Christina and Austen, made it into the photo along with my sidekick Tina!

I guess even though the show "I Do ... Again" aired almost one year after taping, it was worth it! Now if I can just get Oprah to call me! :)

There is nothing like a little excitement for a bride and groom two weeks before their wedding!

Jenn and Curtiss had planned their wedding over a year in advance to be on the safe side as she had to await her Visa.

We were in the final planning stages and she still had not received it and was calling Canada daily but getting no answers. Two weeks before the wedding she gets the call for her interview but it is scheduled the Thursday before she is to walk down the aisle!

Her and Curtiss fly to Canada Wednesday, interview Thursday and do a little begging in hopes to get her papers on Friday so they can fly back to Orlando and get married. As fate would have it, they granted them their wish and they picked up their papers on Friday morning and arrvied back in to Orlando just hours before the rehearsal!

At least it was all official and what a relief for this happy couple! Nathan Root of Root Photography captured this moment as they were pronounced as husband and wife!

Tuesday, August 21, 2007

Danielle and Cory made it official on August 11th with a ceremony at St. James Cathedral downtown and the reception at one of my favorite locations - The Citrus Club!
It was an awesome day and everyone had a blast as Darrin with Fun Factory made sure the dance floor was always full! I think Danielle was on the dance floor the entire night!
Scoobie took so many great photos (it helps than Danielle is absolutely gorgeous) that I couldn't pick just one to post!
What a joy it was to work with both of them - I wish you two all the best! :)

Yolanda and Henri are getting married on November 10, 2007 and just had their engagement session with Jen Fortin outside at a park - you'd never know it was 100 degrees by the looks on their faces! Too cute!

WPCF Bridal Show

Christy and I were at the Orlando Marriott today working the WPCF Bridal Show and it was definitely an exciting day!

I was in the fashion show as well so when I get a photo from that, I will post it!

It was fun meeting new brides - everyone is always so excited at the shows to get ideas and win great prizes!

ZOO TRIP

I took the kids to the Brevard Zoo and we had a blast. It was a little warm but we got to see so many animals and even feed the giraffes! But they might have had more fun when we stopped at McDonald's on the way home! :)

Michelle and Brian had their engagement session on Friday with photographer Jennifer Fortin and she was nice enough to do this collage for me! Aren't they just the cutest couple? They brougth their dog Riley who wasn't feeling so hot but managed to get a good shot in!
Michelle and Brian are getting married in April at Mead Gardens and having their reception at Orlando Museum of Art. They have been an absolute joy to work with and I look forward to their big day!

Monday, July 23rd at 7pm on TLC you will have a chance to watch an Eventfully Yours wedding! The wedding was filmed last September when Brenda and Jim tied the knot in their home church in Orlando and then celebrated at the Woman's Club of Winter Park.
The show is called "I Do...Again" and is about second marriages. Brenda and Jim have five daughters (all teenagers) between the two of them and it was very interesting as they were selected to be the pilot of the show. TLC was here for one week and did about 120 hours worth of filming and then had to edit it for the one hour show.
We have not seen one clip of the show and will be watching it for the first time with you as well. Hopefully it will be portrayed as the beautiful day that it was!

Congrats to April and Chris!!! They tied the knot on June 30th at Paradise Cove.
Derek Smith (http://www.sunshinephotographics.com/) captured this great shot of the two of them exiting from the ceremony.

On June 5th I was voted in as Vice President for The Wedding Professionals of Central Florida and after serving last year as Director of Bridal Services, I was honored that the members wanted to keep me around for another year!

As VP, I am responsible for finding venue locations and getting vendors to spotlight or showcase to members/guests in attendance that night. As well as assist with the website, newsletter and other various things to help make sure things run smooth.

I actually organized the June 5th meeting (I guess they were testing me) and it was a great night out at The Orange County Regional History Center. We had 83 in attendance and I think it was because we had free wine! But it was a really fun night and what networking is all about - meeting other people in your industry and getting your name out there.

The new board recently had a planning session meeting out at my brother-n-laws place in Avalon Park (http://www.winedownrestaurant.com/) and I am so excited about this year. I have been fortunate to book some great venues and am already book until February of 2008. We will have the opportunity to see The Citrus Club, Heathrow, Maggiano's and Orlando Museum of Art for our December Social.

WPCF will be celebrating 15 years as an organization this fall and I am proud to be a part of it! I hope you will consider joining us one night - sign up at http://www.wpcf.com/!

This past Saturday I did a wedding for Ashlee and Ryan at Shades of Green out at Disney and it was one of the funnest weddings I've ever done!

The couple in the top photo are Nickie and Larry and I coordinated their wedding last December. Ashlee was a bridesmaid for Nickie and since I worked with Nickie for over one year, it was like a little reunion for me seeing some of the same people from their wedding.

And of course, Holly, Dana and I couldn't resist getting a photo with Mickey!

Special thanks to fabulous photographer Jen Fortin (www.fortinphotography.com) for doing this collage for me and being such a joy to work with during the wedding!

Happy 50th Birthday Claire!

I had the pleasure of doing a surprise birthday party for Claire at Antonio's in Maitland this past Friday.

It was so much fun and she was truly surprised, which is a good thing! :)

If you are looking for a great place for a rehearsal dinner or intimate party (we had 43 in the room) Antonio's is a great place! The food was unbelievable, the wine was superb and the service was top notch!

Monday, May 28, 2007

Holly and I had the pleasure of helping out Kimberly and Paul with their wedding today at Maison and Jardin. It was absolutely gorgeous!

Kimberly, better known as Sunny K with Radio Disney, was a stunning bride and had selected fuscia and an olive green as her colors. Mary Grace with Belladonna Cakes designed the perfect cake for this special day.
The newleyweds depart for Venice soon to celebrate their new relationship as husband and wife. Congrats!

I am so disappointed that the wedding we did for TLC did not air tonight. And a big sorry to all of you who watched World's Largest Woman.

It was a long day and I haven't been feeling well since Thursday but by 5pm I was getting pretty excited. I started cooking dinner for the girls who help me out with the weddings and was planning on having a few people over to watch the show. As we sit down to eat my phone rings and it's Brenda - the bride. I'm thinking she's calling because she's so nervous (it's 6:10 at this point) but instead she is calling to tell me they have pulled the show. The producer called her and said they wanted to pull it and air it in June, during wedding season and get some press on it.

WHATEVER - I was pretty bummed, but I'm sure Brenda and Jim and the girls were even more so since the show is about them.

Hopefully we will hear something soon and I will let you know the details. Until then .... Go Jordin Sparks.

Congratulations to Tara and Todd! They became husband on wife on Saturday as they exchanged their vows in the courtroom of The Orange County Regional History Center. After a short and sweet ceremony (just the way they wanted it) the party was started!

They were both so relaxed and really enjoyed the day - what an honor it was to work with them.
Here is a photo of them taken outside The History Center by Troy Battle (www.troybattle.com).

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

The big day is near .... the wedding that we did for TLC will air Wednesday, May 23 at 7pm! I just want to say that I have not seen any part of the show and have no idea how the editing was done! :)

It's so weird knowing that one of our weddings will be on tv and we have no idea what it will look like, how we will look, how Jim and Brenda will be portrayed. After all, it is reality tv (wink, wink).

I hope you all tune in and get a chance to see a beautiful wedding that we had the honor of doing!

Wednesday, May 02, 2007

I was honored to be featured in the Orlando Sentinel yesterday concerning my business and the wedding I had that was filmed for TLC.

I have to say I was very nervous to read the Q&A because after two questions Laura Brost (the Sentinel columnist) told me not to talk so much. :) It's so hard for me, especially when you want to talk to me about weddings!
Anyway, here's a photo by ArtzPhoto from a recent wedding of how I multi-task! :)

Sunday, April 29, 2007

Former clients, Kelley and Brian Fenn, have a seven month old son, Drake and my daughter Sophia and I had a chance to go over and visit them today. Sophia enjoyed playing with all of Drake's toys and I think Drake enjoyed just watching her!

Check out those thighs on that boy - you gotta love it! What a cutie patootie!

Monday, April 23, 2007

From the first day I met Claudia, almost one year ago, she was determined to have an "enchanted forest" theme for her wedding. It was amazing to see everything come together on her wedding day and I was thrilled to be a part of it all.

Flourish Productions went above and beyond to create exactly what Claudia was looking for! Even John (the groom) said his buddies were coming up to him all night and telling him how beautiful everything was. "And for guys to notice that, you know it looked good," said John.

It was a fun night had by all as DJ Steve (www.orlandodjservice.com) had the dance floor hopping all night at The Rosen Plaza Hotel.

Stunning! That is the word that describes Jennifer and Jason's wedding this past Saturday at Portofino Bay Hotel.

Jennifer was absolutely gorgeous and everything was just perfect - her dream come true. After dating Jason for 14 years, she had plenty of time to imagine the perfect wedding day and you can tell by the smile on her face all night long that is was magical!

I will have some photos posted on my website soon, but in the meantime, you can view her slideshow at www.troybattle.com/jen_jason. Enjoy!

My mom and dad are down from Michigan for the month and the kids are just loving it!

This is their fourth year coming to Florida and staying in a condo and every year I think the time goes by faster! I know the kids will have a hard time saying good-bye!

Saturday, February 24, 2007

We recently did a wedding at The Cypress Grove Estate House for Jessi and Jacob and it was absolutely spectacular! The weather was perfect, which is always a factor when everything is outdoors, and the night was just magical. What a great couple they were to work with!

Thursday, January 25, 2007

Megan and Jimmy, who are getting married on October 20 at Annunciation Catholic Church with a reception at The Citrus Club, had their engagement shoot this past weekend with Brian Adams.

This was one of my favorite shots! They went to Casa Feliz, Rollins College and Baldwin Park and had a great time. You can tell by watching their slideshow - www.bapg.net/meganjimmy. Enjoy!

I found office space! I am so excited, I can't stand it! It's a brand new building in Maitland off of Lake Howell Road between Howell Branch and Old Howell Road. A new Starbucks just opened on the corner of 436 and Lake Howell Road and there is a Bruster's and Stein Mart there as well - I am in trouble! :)

Anyway, move it date is January 22 so I will be out this weekend doing some shopping. Tina and I chatted about how we want it to look and what kind of furniture to put in the space. I am so thankful that the business is doing well and am glad that God continues to bless me in this work.

I am super excited for everyone to see it, so give me a call and come on by!

Saturday, January 06, 2007

John's sisters have a marketing and design company (www.evolvetoday.com) and they were doing a photo shoot for Fairwinds Credit Union and asked me to be the "model". It was a fun experience and I have a new respect for models. There is a lot more to it than sitting around and just smiling. There were numerous re-takes and "acting" involved.

I thought I would share one of the photos with everyone so incase you see me on a poster or in an ad you won't have to wonder if it really is me! :)

Happy New Year!

I was fortunate to bring in the New Year with clients Shauntrel and Maro as they exchanged their wedding vows at The Omni at Champions Gate.

Flourish Productions turned the ballroom into a room that was not only breathtaking but exactly what Shauntrel had dreamed. Everyone was "wowed" as they walked into the room.

Dan Clay (www.digitaldanphoto.com) captured this shot after Shauntrel and Maro were pronounced husband and wife and they jumped the broom.
