LUCKY 8!

Jennifer and Juan got engaged on 7-07-07 so they thought it was only fitting to get married on 8-08-08!

The wedding took place at the City Arts Factory in downtown Orlando and it was so unique and creative! Juan had created this gorgeous backdrop for where the ceremony was being held-a painting with their names in it, the date, hearts and their new monogram of S! He hung a bunch of his artwork throughout the reception and even had a canvas up for guests to sign! The bride's family made cookies and those were put out for dessert with the cake and guests could fill a bag and take some home.

It was definitely a fun night as Steve with Power Entertainment kept the crowd entertained with his music and Cuisiniers definitely pleased the crowd with their fantastic grub! And Lee James did a beautiful job on the floral!

Saying Goodbye

Our good friends Tim and Monica and their kids, Hayley and Nathan, are moving to Texas and after nine years of a beautiful friendship, saying goodbye is not easy.

David and Sophia just love hanging out with Hayley and Nathan and luckily they still enjoying acting silly with us so we call went to Chuckee Cheese on Thursday and had a blast! We played for hours and ate some pizza and then headed over to my new favorite place in Waterford Lakes- Sweet! (the best cupcakes around)

Anyway, I just thought I'd share some photos of our last day together. I am so gonna miss them!

THE BEST GIFT

I have been honored to work many weddings over the past five years and the best gift I can ever receive is a referral from a client! It means so much to me when someone passes my name on because not only were they happy working with me on this very special day, but happy enough to talk about me to others - how awesome!

Well this past Saturday I watched as Jane and Pepi exchaged vows at Knowles Chapel at Rollins College and then celebrated with family and friends at the Rosen Centre.

I met Jane through a former bride and now friend of mine, Megan Fryzel (Gilbert) who married the love of her life, Jimmy, last October! It was great to see Megan and Jimmy at the wedding and share some great laughs! :)

Jane was such a stunning bride - she was total magazine material! Photographer Derek Smith hooked me up with some great photos and the wedding was only four days ag0 - he rocks!

Of course I have to give a shout out to Tommy at Greenery who did an amazing job with the floral!

LOVE BIRDS

I had the pleasure of working with two of the sweetest people ever this past month as they committed their lives to one another in a beautiful ceremony!

Rachel and Sterling actually go to the same church as me (Summit - it's the best!) and they were referred to me from a dear friend of mine, Tracy Frost. Anyway, we all hit it off as soon as we met and I was thrilled to help them with their special day!

They got married at Dubsdread and it was a fabulous day and Rachel was looking so gorgeous she took Sterling's breath away! I had a chance to work with our Pastor, Isaac Hunter for the first time and I have to tell you I was a little nervous - I was hoping he liked the way I did things (and he did!) :)

Anyway, it was a very special ceremony and a beautiful, yet simple reception! Of course the staff at Dubsdread was perfect (as always) and Tommy at Greenery Productions delivered, yet again, on the flowers and I also had the chance to work with Cory Callahan for the first time (also a member of Summit!) and I am so impressed with his style and his photos - enjoy!

SUMMER IS HERE!

David has been talking about having a lemonade stand for months! Funny thing is that he doesn't even like lemonade. Anyway, I finally let him get some and have his first lemonade stand so him and Sophia set up shop in the front yard and luckily the neighbors saw them and came over for a visit and some cold lemonade!

BOCA FAMILY VACATION

I recently won a trip to the Boca Raton Resort and we cashed in this weekend since I had the time off and went on a little vacation.

We got in Thursday afternoon and toured the hotel (unbelievably gorgeous!!!) and went swimming. On Friday we went to the Science Center in Ft. Lauderdale and we had a hard time getting the kids to leave. Back to the pool that night and then spent the day at the beach on Saturday and before we left on Sunday!

ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN!

Last Saturday, May 10th, I had the honor and privledge of working Kerry and Chris' wedding at Annunciation Catholic Church and Portofino Bay Hotel.

I worked with Kerry's parents, Bill and Kathy, since the bride and groom were out of town. You know how you meet people and you just click instantly - that is exactly how I felt with Bill and Kathy and knew once I met their daughter I would probably feel the same!

So I met Kerry and Chris the Thursday before the wedding and we sat in the lobby at Portofino getting to know one another and telling stories! Kerry told me she tends to have "accidents" in life and proceeded to tell me about the time she fell through a sliding glass door but luckily she only need stitches in her finger.

So, the big day arrives and I am waiting for the bridal party in the lobby and Kerry walks in and has somehow gotten her dress filthy dirty so I grab my Shout wipes (love those things!) and clean her up. Then a guest hugs her and smashes her big toe and her toe nail is like falling off! So I whip out a band-aid to patch her up.

We are off to do photos with Scott Waisanen (scottdavidphotography.com) and wouldn't you know it, Kerry's dress gets caught in the elevator! Thank God she handled it well! :)

Anyway, Scott was so kind to send me some photos to post for you all to see! It was such a great day - Paul Vesco band rocked the house and of course my good friend Tommy Murphy at Greenery Productions did his magic for the Venetian Room at Portofino!
